Soccer Supremos Roadmap Update - September 2025

September 2025 – Newsletter

🚀 Feature Roadmap Special Edition

Hello Managers,

Running three leagues every week, answering questions, squashing bugs 🐛, and sneaking in small improvements keeps me on my toes… but guess what? I’m still pushing forward on the Feature Roadmap!

No rest at this end—but I love running Soccer Supremos, and as long as you’re enjoying the game, I’ll keep working to make it even better. 🙌

This month, I’m giving you a deeper dive into the roadmap ahead, what’s coming soon, and why I’ve prioritized things the way I have.

🏟️ Two Big Buckets of Features

Between now and the end of the year, the roadmap is split into two big groups:

  1. Off-Field Features (happening now ✅)

  2. On-Field Features (coming up next ⚡️)

🔧 OFF-FIELD FEATURES (Work in Progress)

I’m about halfway through these. You may have already noticed:
Squad Training Plan
Private Lives

Still to come:

👥 Non-Player Members

Your backroom staff are getting a major upgrade:

  • Skills coach 🎯 – Target specific skills for individual players.

  • Youth scout 🔎 – Spot hidden potential & learning ability in circuit players or even rival squads.

  • Physio 🩺 – Expanded impact on fitness & recovery.

  • Spy 🕵️ – Discover private-life insights on players (yours, rivals, or circuit).

👉 Bottom line: Support staff will be more powerful, more valuable, and give you more options than ever before.

💰 Ground & Finance Orders

  • Hire a Private Investigator 🕵️‍♂️ (yes, it’s in the rulebook).

  • Sack a Player 🚪👋 (sometimes it just needs to happen).

  • Plus: small tweaks and improvements to existing finance orders.

🔄 Ad Hoc Improvements

  • Player Transfer Requests – Players may demand a move if unhappy 😡.

  • Player Retirement – Veterans will eventually hang up their boots 👢, sometimes rejoining as coaches!

  • Club Dynamics – Expect more realism around player morale & long-term squad building.

⚽️ ON-FIELD FEATURES (Coming Next)

Once off-field updates are done, I’ll return to the Match Engine.

🎯 Tactics

  • Expand zonal tactics 📐.

  • Add missing tactical options.

  • More control over substitutions 🔄.

📝 Match Reports

  • Cleaner reports (planned but unused tactics filtered out).

  • Ability for staff to obtain rival match reports 👀.

These tweaks will give managers much greater control over how their squad performs on the pitch.

📰 The Supremos Scoop (Coming Soon!)

On the side, I’m also cooking up a fun extra:
The Supremos Scoop – a free quarterly PDF newsletter delivered alongside your turn results.

It will include:

  • Insights from your gamemaster (that’s me 😅)

  • Contributions from managers

  • Stats & rankings across all leagues

Think of it as your in-game magazine to celebrate the Supremos community.

✅ In Summary

By the end of this year, you can expect:

  • Deeper off-field strategy (staff, finances, player dynamics).

  • More tactical control on the pitch.

  • Fresh community content via The Supremos Scoop.

As always, your feedback is invaluable—if you have ideas, drop me a message. Together, we’ll keep making Soccer Supremos the most exciting football management game out there.

💬 Over to you: Which of these upcoming features are you most excited about?

L3 | S2 | W14: Richmond march on as Grange Hill snatch a lifeline

Week 14 lands at the exact halfway point of the season, and across all four divisions the picture is sharpening up nicely. At the top, leaders are holding their ground – but in several cases only just. Division 1 remains the tightest of the four at the top, with West London Blue, Mighty Greens and South Park Cows all pushing on points while the title race stays very much unresolved. Elsewhere, Richmond continue their march through Division 3 looking virtually unstoppable, while Division 4 is now a proper five-club scrap with Tantany Rangers only fractionally ahead of the pack.

L3 | S2 | W12: Richmond march on as Division 4 erupts into four-way chaos

Division 4 produced the most drama of any division this week. Abbey United – who came into the match as leaders – lost 1-0 at home to Grove Old Boys, Bartholomew’s 21st-minute goal enough to take the points and scramble the table entirely. Tantany Rangers, who were sitting third, beat Hillgrove United 2-0 (Buchanan 2′, Simmonds 72′) to go top. Brompton Hotspur beat Quinton Athletic 2-0 (Manfredi 18′, Maradona 67′). And Grove Old Boys’ win took them level with Abbey United on 21 points.

L1 | S4 | W2: Rangers and West Ham share top spot as Forest Green Rovers announce themselves in Division 3

Across the four divisions there were already some eyebrow-raising results – a Rangers side thumping their way to six points, a brave Sutton United seeing off Liverpool in the cup, a Colchester United shipped three at home without reply, and a Forest Green Rovers with a rating of 671 somehow sitting quietly in Division 3. It’s early days, but the shape of things to come is starting to emerge.
